How the site currently uses cookies
- The site currently uses a strictly necessary authentication cookie to keep signed-in users authenticated.
- The site also uses a consent preference cookie to remember cookie choices you make through the consent banner.
- The site uses Google Analytics (Google tag) for analytics and advertising measurement. These optional cookies default to off and are only set after you enable the Analytics and/or Advertising categories in the consent banner. Until then, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics and advertising storage denied.
Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary cookies: support login, security, and required site operations.
- Functional cookies: may be used to remember optional site settings and convenience preferences.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) used to understand site usage and improve product performance. Off until you consent.
- Advertising cookies: Google advertising-feature cookies used for ad measurement and personalization. Off until you consent. Enabling these involves sharing data with Google, which is a "sale/share" under California law.
Cookies currently identified in this implementation
- bball_auth: a first-party, strictly necessary authentication cookie set after successful login. It is configured as HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and currently persists for up to 30 days unless cleared sooner.
- bball_cookie_consent: a first-party preference cookie used to store cookie choices for up to approximately 180 days.
- _ga / _ga_* / _gid: third-party Google Analytics cookies, set only after you enable the Analytics category. Used to distinguish users and measure site usage.
Managing cookies
- Use the button below to open your cookie preferences at any time — accept all, reject optional cookies, or save category-based preferences.
- California residents can opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control on the Privacy Policy page, which turns off the Analytics and Advertising categories.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser sends GPC, analytics and advertising cookies stay off and cannot be enabled through the banner.
- You can also manage cookies through browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect sign-in or core site functions.
Third-party cookies
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) is used for analytics and advertising measurement. When you consent to the Analytics and/or Advertising categories, Google may set cookies and receive data through the Google tag. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- We use Google Consent Mode v2, so these third-party cookies are not set until you enable the relevant category, and are disabled when the Global Privacy Control signal is present.
Changes to this policy
- We may update this Cookie Policy by posting a revised version on this page and updating the effective date.
